  • Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports

    This year our school has adopted a new character education program that follows a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports) model. Our teachers are using Sanford Harmony lessons during an advisory period each week in the classroom to promote social and emotional learning.

    High School Admissions:

    TACHS (Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools)

    Specialized High School Admissions:

    If your child is interested in applying to one of the 9 Specialized High Schools in New York City, you can NOW register them for testing and auditions for the Specialized High Schools in the family-facing MySchools site.  The deadline to register for the SHSAT (Specialized High School Admissions Test and/or LaGuardia High School auditions is October 10th, 2019. 

    SHSAT (Specialized High Schools Admissions Test)

    Test Date Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27, 2019

    Test Date (for students with accommodations):

    Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 17, 2019

    Registration DeadlineOctober 10, 2019

    Parents should have received a letter in the mail about how to set up their MySchools Account.  Contact the guidance counselor if you have not received your letter. 

    Families are encouraged to attend the High School Fairs on September 21 and September 22, and October 5 and October 6.  Flyers were sent home.  You can view information about and register for the High School fairs here

    The Middle School application will be available in early October and the application deadline will be December 2nd, 2019.

    Each 5th grade family will receive a WELCOME LETTER in the mail from the Office of Enrollment in early October.  These letters include each child's account creation code (PIN code) and instructions for families to get started in the family-facing MySchools site (myschools.nyc)

    NYC Schools Account provides you a new way of accessing key information about your child’s progress. 

    The Dept. of Education has generated letters to invite families who have not yet registered for an NYC Schools account.

  • Breakfast/Lunch Procedure

    Breakfast/Lunch are free to all studdents this year.  If you child will be eating breakfast in school, they should arrive 
    at 7:30 AM and enter through the main entrance on B. 135th Street otherwise they should arrive at 7:50 AM.

    All families must complete one mandated School Lunch Form available on the school website.  Even if students are not applying for reduced or free lunch, a lunch form must be completed. nyc.applyforlunch.com
